IVAIBI FESTO

Managing partner & Founder Mitroplus Labs

MitroplusLab is an idea that i started conceptualizing in 2018 after the bull run, to many, attaining success in the blockchain and crypto currency industry is a mystery, My name is Ivaibi Festo and this is my story, i got introduced to bitcoin in 2009 by my boss who was from Finland, we were working on starting a project for electronic waste recycling in east Africa.

He pitched me into buying bitcoin but we had a bit of a language barrier because he didn’t speak English very well and i didn’t speak his language (Finish) at all. But i invested anyway simply because he was my boss and secondly my plan was to be on his good side and be very good friends with him, i mean he could help me into Finland so i could peruse greener pastures, an idea that is popular to Africans.

I invested $100 in 2009, by that time bitcoin was at $0.1 and got my self 1000 btc that i held in my email and he helped me process my blockchain wallet. Forgot about the investment for almost 4 years. i started getting more interested into bitcoin when it started making headlines and price had gone up to $157 in 2012, i started learning more about blockchain and crypto currencies and how they work from resources i could find on the internet.

I got invested in on one that hit me as well, it was a phase for me to learn more, i also got invested in ethereum at the same time, xrp, LTC, BCH, TRX and Cadano and the next bull run happened, then i knew my life was on decentralized crypto currencies and blockchain, all i had to do is to learn how to trade on a daily so that the proceeds can help me run my daily expenses comfortably, that way i do not exert pressure on my long-term investments that i hold, I am good with numbers and i love learning, so i hired people to teach me more about financial indicators to be able to read the markets and make learned decisions on when to buy and sell,

To many people i have tutored and those that know abit of my story call me a crypto Mogul, but i am still learning, its a process that never ends. We also learnt designing applications on different blockchains and languages. 2018 another bull run happened that sent me to new heights of success. Many people including my family were now willing to learn, so classes grew bigger and there was simply no time, insecurities as well came in i had to migrate to a more crypto friendly country and for several other reasons but i find life better at home near friends and family so i keep juggling between the two countries. I do less of social media because attention isn’t exactly what i needed for safety and peace. i actively run only my personal Instagram channel (same.festo) which i have kept private allowing only traders and people that i know to follow. twitter is a place i have posted like once in 4 months.

I have grown to love this business so much, however, in many cases when someone asks you what you do and you tell them you are crypto currency trader, the next thing that comes out of their mouth is that they have lost money in those things, like me, many people in Africa that have lost money has been in the hands of network marketers, Very different from crypto currency.

I know also crypto currency as an industry has had its ups and downs over the years but most damage has been based on deception. To the legislators, crypto currency traders are perceived for money launderers especially if your successfully.

Blockchain will profoundly transform how we live, I think with more information to communities and legislators, there is still time to guide its trajectory, limit abuse and secure its mostly beneficial out comes. We will need all the support we can get from the whole crypto currency community worldwide towards Africa. We intend to use education, entertainment and transparency to drive mass adoption of blockchain on continent. This change in how we transfer value will by far bigger and larger than the others the world has had before, This will be the largest wealth transfer in the history of the world. I would love to see Africa take a good place in this one.

Approximately 0.3% of us in blockchain and crypto currencies in Africa make it amidst the toughest conditions some of which are unique to the African market and immediately run away to crypto friendly countries and zones, We take beatings from the illiteracy, poverty, ignorance, internet access, poor infrastructure. limited market access, u can never catch some launch pads because our regions are not supported, the legislators attitude towards the industry, the banking sector and the numerous network marketing schemes that have populated Africa selling lies to trying individuals ruining the whole market for genuine projects and possible adoption. We have also had different experiences with different exchanges. Mitroplus labs will work towards creating a safe and beneficial environment, which requires a deep understanding of the potential risks and benefits, as well as careful consideration of the impacts.
