Background

In 2009, Ivaibi Festo was introduced to Bitcoin by his Finnish boss while working on an e-waste recycling project in East Africa. Despite a language barrier, he invested $100 in Bitcoin at $0.1 per coin, acquiring 1000 BTC. He forgot about the investment for four years until Bitcoin's price reached $157 in 2013, sparking his interest in blockchain and cryptocurrencies.

Over time, Ivaibi learned about crypto trading, navigated network marketing schemes, and invested in various cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, XRP, LTC, BCH, TRX, and Cardano. With the knowledge he gained, he actively traded and hired experts to teach him financial indicators and market analysis. Ivaibi's goal was to generate daily trading profits to cover living expenses while preserving his long-term investments.

His journey led to a deep understanding of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, allowing him to make informed trading decisions and help others do the same. Ultimately, his story is a testament to the potential for financial success in the crypto industry through dedication, learning, and strategic investments.

The Testimony

Ivaibi's passion for the crypto industry led him to conceive Mitroplus Labs in 2018. This initiative aims to educate individuals, the industry, and legislators about blockchain technology and cryptocurrency to mitigate deception, improve understanding, and promote responsible use. The vision includes a team of scholars from Africa and parts of India, with a focus on using education, entertainment, and transparency to drive mass adoption of blockchain technology on the African continent.

The ultimate goal is to position Africa positively in the evolving blockchain landscape, recognizing it as a significant player in the forthcoming transformative wealth transfer, which is set to be the largest in world history.

Ivaibi Festo, known as a crypto mogul, embarked on a crypto journey in 2009 when he invested $100 in Bitcoin at $0.1 per coin. He later became a dedicated crypto trader and investor, delving into various cryptocurrencies during the 2018 bull run. He also learned to design applications on different blockchains and languages.

As his knowledge grew, he began teaching others, expanding his reach when the 2018 bull run sparked increased interest in crypto. Despite the success, Ivaibi faced challenges, including the need to migrate to crypto-friendly countries and concerns for his safety.

My Remarks

In Africa, a mere 0.3% of individuals in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space manage to succeed despite facing unique and challenging conditions. Many of them are compelled to flee to crypto-friendly countries due to issues such as widespread illiteracy, poverty, limited internet access, poor infrastructure, restricted market access, lack of support from launch pads, unfavorable legislative attitudes, the influence of deceptive network marketing schemes, and varied experiences with different exchanges.

Mitroplus Labs is dedicated to changing this narrative by striving to create a secure and advantageous environment in the African crypto landscape. This initiative recognizes the need for a profound understanding of the potential risks and rewards associated with blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, as well as a thoughtful consideration of their broader impacts.
